Well these are directly copied from another lady's blog (paris breakfasts) for practice purposes only. So that I can see( and learn) how to suggest shapes instead of drawing them.
The originals are great. I liked one attempt. The other could have done better.
I have been doing this the whole weekend and ofcourse a little bit more.
I have done this froma small 3X3 picture in the newspaper (in black and white). I was actually trying my hand at the branches and negative painting particularly since I had not been that great in it.
This is a watercolor that I had not got right the first time. Not that it is perfect this time around but better.
These days I am really struggling to find time to complete my paintings. Somehow the time ust flits by. Would so like to go on a holiday and paint and read about painting!!1
Anyhow here is the painting.
When you see the pictures of the ghats that I have posted, you will see a picture of water fall ending in rocks that I have taken from the top/above rather than from the bottom of the falls where people usually take it from. I was wondering how one can accomplish drawing the waterfall from the top view instead of the bottom view. I mean mostly all pictures are taken from bottom to top and a lot of paintings on this subject also show the similar view. But how do we go about depicting the opposite view on a paper is what is boggling me these days.!! If you have got any ideas please share...

I love watercolor paitings where reflections have been depicted. But when I try my hand at it, I only see muddy gooey attempts. If anyone has suggestions that worked for them please help/advise me. I know I have to atelast post some digital prints of my paitings and am lagging behind in that but will get to it mostly by the next weekend.
